Ray Clarke - Team Manager

 

Team Manager, Ray Clarke has been involved  for many years in International motorsport, known affectionately as the Roland Dane of the Excel series. Rays expertise is the pushing force behind the team.

For over 25 years, Daniel Natoli has been involved in Australian Motorsport, beginning with an impressive Karting career. During this time Daniel competed in many events, consistently placing in the Top 5, including the Australian Titles, with wins in the Bridgestone Kart Grand Prix and the East Coast Australian Championship. In 1995 he was also invited to race at Suzuka, Japan, in the World Cup.

In 1999, Daniel began competing in Sports Sedans and then in 2000, the Konica V8 Lites, later to become the V8 Driver Development series. By the end of that year Daniel had gained valuable experience, skills and exposure through crowd attendances, television and print media.

In 2003 Daniel accepted an invitation to compete in the MG-F Trophy events at Qld Raceway and Eastern Creek.

During the 2004 season, Daniel competed in the Lotus Championship. After missing round 1, Daniel competed in all remaining rounds with a podium finish at Eastern Creek in the final round. These new cars generated enormous interest and a regular following throughout the racing and spectator communities. With regular television and print media coverage. 2004 saw Daniel finish 8th overall in the championship.

In 2005 Daniel made an all out assault on the Australian Production Car Championship in the Donut King/Proton backed Proton Satria Gti. Daniel finished the Season on a high taking out Class C honours in this exciting series as well as Third Outright.

In 2006 Mumbo Racing offered Daniel a drive in their ex British Touring Car Championship 2 Litre Ford Mondeo and achieved an impressive result with a win in the final race in front of more fancied V8 engined rivals, setting up another winning relationship, contesting the 2007 Australian Touring Car Challenge, easily taking first place in the Super Touring class. 


2008 saw Daniel drive the Robertson Transport Formula R Reynard, with 3rd place in the championship.


Daniel was instrumental behind the scenes spannering the Elite Motorsport V8Monaro and V8 Magna and in 2010 the opportunity arose to campaign the worlds only V8 powered Mitsubishi Magna in the Heavy Metal class of the Australian Sports Sedan Championship with another grans result, 1st place. 


Since then Daniel has focused on wor and family but has kept his eye in, partnering Paul Hibberds #22 Hyundai Excel in 2013 and a solo drive in 2015 in the BGreen 1 Hour with a top 10 finish(9th place) out of 36 cars. This relationship has opened up a new chapter for Daniel, who will be joining the series with Team BGreen Racing in 2016, with the eye on the nationals later in the year.


2010 - Australian Heavy Metal Sports Sedan Champion - (The worlds only RWD V8 Mitsubishi Magna, 3rd National title)

2008 - 3rd in Formula R Championship

2007 - Australian Super Touring Cars Champion

(onboard an ex BTCC Ford Mondeo with outright wins and podiums )

2005 - Australian Production Car Champion (class c)

2005 - 3rd Outright Australian Production Car Championship

(Donut King/Proton Cars Australia backed Proton Satria Gti)

2004 - Lotus Championship finishing 8th overall in the championship.

2003 - MG-F Trophy events at Qld Raceway and Eastern Creek.

2000 -  Konica V8 Lites, later to become the V8 Driver Development series.
